Resources from the SSN Annual Conference - including videos of the ‘quick-fire’ case study presentations that were delivered at the event and a compendium of 28 case study posters - are now available to download online.
200 delegates from 24 local authorities, the wider public sector, businesses and community groups attended Sustainable Scotland Network’s 10th annual conference, Local Action for a Sustainable Scotland, which focused on aligning public, private and community action to deliver on Scotland's sustainable development and climate change ambitions.
Resources now available to download from the conference website include:
- videos of the ‘quick-fire’ presentation session, which saw speakers deliver headline information on a range of climate change and sustainable development activity taking place across Scotland. The 8 short videos, available on the Keep Scotland Beautiful YouTube channel, synchronise speakers’ PowerPoint slides with audio of speakers’ presentations. Speakers included representatives from: Aberdeenshire Council, Cairngorms National Park, Central Scotland Green Network, Carbon Trust, and Scottish Government.
- A compendium of 28 case study posters from the conference’s poster exhibition. The case studies featured profile Scottish local authority policies, plans and initiatives that are contributing to the delivery of Scotland’s climate change and sustainable development ambitions. Other organisations are also represented.
- Audio recordings and PowerPoint slides of key speakers: Stewart Stevenson MSP, Cllr Alison Hay, Sue Bruce, Chief Executive of City of Edinburgh Council, and Andy Kerr of the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation.
- Photos from the conference, available on the Keep Scotland Beautiful Flickr stream.
