Architects, engineers, developers, and others can now go online to see how they can make their building projects carbon neutral or zero-energy. Green Footstep, a carbon calculating tool recently developed by the Rocky Mountain Institute, can be used for new or retrofit building construction projects, from pre-design through occupancy, to assess a design's total carbon footprint due to site development, construction, and operation.
